Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon to provide expert surgical care for benign and malignant breast conditions, collaborating with oncology teams for multidisciplinary cancer care.

The successful candidate will perform breast procedures such as breast-conserving surgery and mastectomy, participate in preoperative assessments, postoperative care, and ongoing professional development within a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in General Surgery per UAE licensing.
• Fellowship/advanced training in Breast Surgery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of benign and malignant breast conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive breast consultations and clinical examinations.
• Evaluate imaging findings and coordinate diagnostic investigations.
• Perform breast surgical procedures including breast-conserving surgery and mastectomy.
• Collaborate with oncology and multidisciplinary teams in care planning.
• Provide oncoplastic and reconstructive breast procedures where qualified.
• Deliver preoperative assessments, postoperative care, and follow-up.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and patient counseling.

We're Hiring | Consultant Breast Surgeon

Location: Dubai

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Breast Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions, with expertise in breast diagnosis, surgical management, and multidisciplinary cancer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of benign and malignant breast conditions
• Conduct comprehensive breast consultations and clinical examinations
• Evaluate breast symptoms, abnormalities, and imaging findings, and coordinate appropriate diagnostic investigations
• Perform breast surgical procedures, including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, and other procedures within the scope of practice
• Manage patients with breast cancer in collaboration with oncology and multidisciplinary teams
• Perform appropriate oncoplastic and reconstructive breast procedures where qualified
• Provide surgical management of benign breast diseases, including breast lumps, abscesses, and other breast disorders
• Conduct preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-up
• Collaborate with radiologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons, and other specialists
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer meetings and contribute to individualized treatment planning
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical teaching, and professional development activities where applicable

Requirements

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirements
• Additional fellowship or advanced training in Breast Surgery / Breast Surgical Oncology is highly desirable
• Eligible for or holding a valid DHA Consultant license/eligibility in the relevant specialty
• Demonstrated experience in breast surgery, including the management of benign and malignant breast conditions
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and decision‑making skills
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary breast cancer care team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development
