Job summary

Met T&S Ltd. is looking for a Construction HSE Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of experience in managing HSE in the Oil & Gas industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities include conducting job safety analyses, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, and coordinating site safety training. We offer an excellent salary package with benefits, including accommodation and transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in HSE management, including 3 years in Oil & Gas.
• Experience as HSE Engineer for at least one year.
• Other HSE certifications are a plus.

• Verify the adequacy of the site HSE plan and procedures.

Hours/rotation:

Rotation of 60 days on siteand 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid).

• ConstructionHSE Engineer - Electrical reports to the HSM or, while he / she is theTCM HSE representative at site, he / she reports to the Site Manager.
• He/ she verifies and ensures that all field activities are performedaccording to the TCM HSE policy, the regulations, standards andprocedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required.

Duties and responsibilities

• Toperform the job hazardous analysis (JHA) and participate to the JobSafety Analysis (JSA).
• Verifythe adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and all relatedprocedures, to the preparing any revisions.
• Toupdate the HSE documentation during all the construction phases whendeemed necessary.
• Tocheck that subcontractors perform their activities in accordance withall the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards, promotingall necessary action to ensure that the said procedures and regulationsare observed.
• Toorganize, plan and participate to periodical HSE walk around,inspections and audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, actionplans, verify the follow up and the timely execution of the correctiveaction.
• Toorganize, coordinate and directly participate in the HSE trainingactivities on site.
• Toorganize and participate to all relevant site HSE meetings, prepare therelevant MOM.
• Tocooperate with the client concerning the issue of any necessary workpermits.
• Toorganize in case of work accidents a full investigation of the event,finalized to the identification of corrective measure to avoidreoccurrence.
• Tokeep accident records, identifying the areas to which prevention must beaddressed.
• Toperform and or promote the indoctrination / training of personnel.
• Leadand coordinate the activities off the site HSE committee (composed byall contractor and subcontractors HSE representative).
• Tolead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/ fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mockactivities.
• Toprepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report andother periodical report.
• Toprepare and update the site HSE statistics, verify the performanceversus the project and corporate HSE objective, targets and performanceindicators.
• Ableto lead a team of HSE personnel such as HSE officers, Hygiene officersetc.
• HSEManagement System understanding and ability to develop HSE plan.
• AnnualHSE plan review and implementation.
• Knowledgeand experience in implementing PTW system and gas testing
• Awarenesson ammonia & breathing apparatus.
• Abilityto conduct risk assessments.
• Abilityto analyze incidents and apply different root cause analysis.
• Abilityto conduct HSE audits and reviews.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree orDiploma preferably in Engineering or Science from a reputed University.
• NEBOSHGC/IGC
• Any otherHSE certifications desired.
• Leadauditor ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 or equivalent.
• Other HSETrainings / Certifications will be added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum8-10 Years of experience out of which at least 3 years in managing andimplementing HSE and welfare requirements in Oil & Gas industry andserved in the capacity of HSE Engineer at least for one year in theprevious assignments
