Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a dedicated HSE Officer to support safe execution of oil & gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate will drive health, safety and environmental compliance and promote a safety-first culture across all project phases.

The role requires 3-5 years in HSE, NEBOSH IGC, and a Bachelor or Diploma, with construction experience in oil & gas. You will conduct HSE inductions, implement plans and procedures, and lead incident investigations to ensure

Responsibilities

• Conduct HSE orientation/induction and awareness sessions for workers
• Understand and implement HSE plans, welfare plans, emergency procedures, and site HSE procedures
• Implement SSOW (PTW, WMS, Risk Assessments) and related control measures
• Conduct HSE inspections across sites and operations
• Manage incident reporting and investigation procedures and ensure timely corrective actions
• Communicate effectively in English and maintain high safety standards on site

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HSE Officer to join our team and support the safe execution of oil & gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health, safety, and environmental compliance and will play a key role in promoting a safety-first culture across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries.
• Must have a Bachelor Degree OR Diploma
• Must have a NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent certificate
• Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to conduct HSE orientation / induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers
• Ability to understand and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
• Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
• Awareness of practical H2S control measures.
• Ability to conduct HSE inspections
• Ability to understand and implement incident reporting and investigation procedures
• Ability to speak read and write English with good communication skills.
