Job summary

A leading engineering company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced engineer for a 13-month site rotation position. Responsibilities include inspecting mechanical equipment for compliance with codes and standards, and ensuring the safety of operations. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in EPC projects, preferably in the oil and gas sector. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant fields.
• Relevant experience in 3 major EPC projects.
• Holding a NEBOSH GC/IGC certificate is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical equipment for compliance.
• Conduct inspections of mechanical equipment such as pumps and valves.
• Ensure safe inspection practices in pressurized or high-temperature settings.
• Ensure proper installation and alignment of mechanical systems.
• Verify that equipment documents meet design and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain inspection records and issue NCRs, driving resolution and re-inspection.
• Ensure safe inspection practices for pressurized or high-temperature equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment defects.
• Crane inspection to ensure lifting equipment safety and regulatory compliance.

Hours/rotation:

Rotation of 60 days on siteand 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid).

• Reportto the HSM or, while he / she is the TCM HSE representative at site, andreports to the Site Manager.
• Verifiesand ensures that all field activities are performed according to the TCMHSE policy, the regulations, standards and procedures, promoting allpreventive and corrective action as required.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for inspecting, testing complianceensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical equipment andsystems according to applicable codes, standards, and projectspecifications.
• Conduct inspections of mechanical equipmentsuch as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, piping systems, valves,and HVAC units.
• Witness and verify performance and pressuretests (e.g., hydrostatic, pneumatic).
• Ensure proper installation and alignment ofmechanical systems.
• Ensures equipment and installations comply withrelevant codes and safety standards and requirements.
• Verify that materials and fabrication orrepairs meet design and regulatory requirements.
• Review and verify equipment documentation:drawings, datasheets, certificates, and test reports.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and issueinspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required andpush for resolution and re-inspection/confirmations.
• Ensure safe inspection practices, especiallywhen working on pressurized or high-temperature equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment defectsthat could pose risks.
• Crane inspection is a critical process toensure lifting equipment is safe, functional, and compliant withregulatory standards. It involves checking mechanical, structural,electrical, and safety components of a crane, whether mobile, tower,overhead, or crawler.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• ABachelor’s Degree in any Engineering Course.

Experience

• Minimum10 years’ experience.
• Relevantexperience in 3 major EPC projects; oil & gas, petrochemical sector.
• Holdinga NEBOSH GC/IGC certificate is an advantage.
• Diplomain safety or any other HSE Certification (considered at ADNOC Groupdiscretion).
• ADNOCapproval will be added advantage.
