Aboutthe project / Job summary

TheHail and Ghasha projects, located about 250 Km from Abu Dhabi city, combinesinnovative decarbonization technologies into one integrated solution. Theproject will capture 1.5 million tonnes per year (mtpa) of CO2, whilelow-carbon hydrogen is produced that can replace fuel gas and further reduceemissions. The project will also leverage clean power from nuclear andrenewable sources from the grid.

EachSupervisor reports directly to the Construction Manager and is responsiblefor managing subcontractor activities within their specific discipline. Theyensure that plant construction work is carried out in compliance witherection schedules, project documentation, and the assigned cost budget,while adhering to quality and safety procedures outlined in the subcontractterms.

TheSupervisor may be supported by one or more assistants.

Dutiesand responsibilities

• Prior to the start ofworks, to check the Supplier’s material and technical documentationdelivery schedule. Check that the same is in line with Constructionschedules and contractual commitments.
• Prior to the start ofworks, control and approve the Method Statements submitted by theSubcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field.
• He/she ensures theimplementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas oractivities (subcontractors) of responsibilities.
• He/she directlyparticipates to the HSE activities at site as defined for his positionin the Site HSE plan and related procedures.
• To check that the saidschedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay.
• To check that the equipmentand manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that theworks performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safetyregulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same.
• Perform inspections andsign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans.
• To prepare thenon-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinatenonconformity resolution.
• To detect any designerrors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Site Engineerto make the necessary changes.
• To check Subcontractors’work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval.
• To assist the ContractManager/Engineer in defining new prices, in preparing amendments tosubcontract and in analysing and discussing claims.

Knowledge& Qualifications

• University Degree orDiploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

• Similar role covered inprojects that are of a comparable size;
