Job summary

Met T&S Ltd. in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced HVAC Supervisor/Engineer for EPC oil & gas plant projects. The role includes on-site work with a 60 days on, 10 days off rotation, plus paid travel. Accommodation, transportation, and round-trip economy tickets are provided as part of the package.

The candidate will oversee subcontractor activities, ensure HSE compliance, and manage technical documentation, schedules, and changes in line with project documents and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• University Degree / Equivalent Diploma in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in large oil & gas EPC projects as HVAC Supervisor/Engineer.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented; problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Before work starts, check the Supplier’s material and technical documentation against schedules.
• Review and approve the Subcontractors' Method Statements for correct field application.
• Ensure implementation of HSE procedures and standards for subcontractor activities.
• Participate in site HSE activities as defined in the Site HSE plan.
• Monitor schedule adherence and assist in recovering delays.
• Ensure subcontractor equipment and manpower are adequate and compliant with design and safety.
• Prepare the non-conformity register and coordinate resolutions.
• Detect design errors and request changes where needed.
• Check subcontractors’ progress sheets and sign for approval.
• Assist Contract Manager/Engineer in pricing and subcontract amendments.

He / shedirects subcontractor activities for his own discipline, ensuring that plantconstruction works are performed according to the erection schedules andproject documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to quality& safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions ofthe subcontract.

Duties andresponsibilities

Priorto the start of works, to check the Supplier’s material and technicaldocumentation delivery schedule. Check that the same is in line withConstruction schedules and contractual commitments.

Priorto the start of work, control and approve the Method Statements submitted bythe Subcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field.

He/sheensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for theareas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities.

He/shedirectly participates in the HSE activities at site as defined for hisposition in the Site HSE plan and related procedures.

Tocheck that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover anydelay.

Tocheck that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor areadequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to designdocuments, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same.

Performinspections and sign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans.

Toprepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinatenonconformity resolution.

Todetect any design errors, and where possible rectify the same or request theSite Engineer to make the necessary changes.

Tocheck Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign the same forapproval.

Toassist the Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices, in preparingamendments to subcontract and in analysing and discussing claims.

Experience

Atleast 10 years of relevant experience in construction of large oil & gasplants/EPC projects as HVAC Supervisor/Engineer.
