Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor to manage subcontractor activities on large oil & gas construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications

Rotation of 60 days on siteand 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid)

Each Supervisor reportsdirectly to the Construction Manager and is responsible for managingsubcontractor activities within their specific discipline. They ensure thatplant construction work is carried out in compliance with erection schedules,project documentation, and the assigned cost budget, while adhering toquality and safety procedures outlined in the subcontract terms.

The Supervisor may besupported by one or more assistants.

Duties and responsibilities

Priorto the start of works, to check the Supplier’s material and technicaldocumentation delivery schedule. Check that the same is in line withConstruction schedules and contractual commitments.

Priorto the start of works, control and approve the Method Statements submitted bythe Subcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field.

He/sheensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for theareas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities.

He/shedirectly participates to the HSE activities at site as defined for hisposition in the Site HSE plan and related procedures.

Tocheck that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover anydelay.

Tocheck that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor areadequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to designdocuments, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same.

Performinspections and sign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans.

Toprepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinatenonconformity resolution.

Todetect any design errors, and where possible rectify the same or request theSite Engineer to make the necessary changes.

Tocheck Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign the same forapproval.

Toassist the Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices, in preparingamendments to subcontract and in analysing and discussing claims.

Experience
