Job summary

The Lana, a Dorchester Collection property in Dubai, seeks a Concierge who will delight guests with tailored service and expert local knowledge. You’ll work with a premium team to elevate guest experiences and participate in our award-winning learning academy, gaining exposure to high standards of craft and leadership.

English fluency, 2–3 years in luxury hospitality, and a relevant hotel qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Guest service excellence and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of Guest experience and hotel service efficiency.
• Be the reference for guests and arrange dining, events, transportation, and reservations.
• Build knowledge and partnerships with local community and businesses.
• Stay informed about local events, dining, and venues to make strong recommendations.
• Support Head Concierge in managing external relationships and preferred vendors.
• Oversee grooming and responsibilities of bell captains, porters, doorman and valet team.

What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• You will be responsible for supporting the Concierge Team in driving continuous improvement of our Guest experience, enhancing the hotel service proposition and efficiency of processes as well as driving key hotel projects in support of our strategic priorities and business goals.
• You will act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information and attend their wishes and requirements outside hotels like arranging dining reservations, events, excursions, transportation etc. upon request from hotels and local residents
• You will build knowledge, relationships and partnerships with local community and businesses that can add value and enhance guests’ stay.
• The role is responsible for being informed about current events, dining and entertainment scene and service providers. Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations.
• You will support the Head Concierge in owning the external relationships and partnerships within the city’s geographical location. Maintaining relationship with global Concierge network. Owning the list of preferred vendors and continually evaluating its relevancy and quality.
• Oversee the grooming over the bell captain, luggage porters, doorman and valet team.

What you'll bring

• You’ll bring your unique personality, passion, and a signature touch of luxury hospitality to the role and the concierge team.
• Guest service drive with outstanding communication, intuitive active listening, and flawless multitasking capabilities. Relentlessly relationship driven. Excellent knowledge of leveraging property and digital concierge technology.
• Fluid communication is what keeps our departments running seamlessly. You pair your exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong luxury service and business ethic.
• English is the primary language used in our hotel to serve our international clientele. You can eloquently and comfortably communicate in this language.
• You will have a relevant professional qualification or hotel school diploma and bring a wealth of past experience working in a similar capacity for luxury hotels for at least 2-3 years.
• Proven previous experience as a Concierge or a premium role in guest services is an advantage.
