The Lana, Dorchester Collection Dubai, invites an outstanding Head Hostess to lead the front-of-house team and ensure the highest guest experience with impeccable presentation. You will inspire colleagues, manage reservations, greet guests warmly, and drive service excellence across the outlet.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-of-house teams in luxury hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hostess team and oversee daily front-of-house operations.
• Manage reservations, guest greetings, escorts, and seating plans.
• Maintain high presentation standards and collaborate with servers and outlets.
• Communicate guest needs and opportunities to improve service and revenue.
• Coach team members to uphold service standards and cross-sell outlets.

What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• You will take an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You will be in charge of leading the team of hostess, managing and maximizing reservations, liaising with regular guests and ensuring immaculate personal presentation of the team.
• You will also be in charge of warmly greeting our guests, escorting them to their tables, farewelling at the end, responding to guest enquiries by email or telephone, by being well versed and holding a strong knowledge of the offerings in the outlet, you are able to convert enquiries into reservations which will assist in the outlet achieving their targets
• Serving others is your passion, you will be ensuring the outlet is in immaculate condition and all service standards are adhered to by the supporting team members.
• You will also be in charge of ensuring the rest of the team is aware of upcoming reservations, special events and guest chefs/bartenders ensuring their knowledge is second to none and they are able to assist our guests in the best possible way and help with cross selling other outlets.

• You are aware of revenue targets and ensuring these are achieved and exceeded, simultaneously all costs are controlled within pre-set budgets including beverage cost and other expenses.
• By taking part in a daily team briefing pre-service, you ensure you and the rest of the team are well informed of the daily happenings around the hotel as well as the upcoming service.
• During your daily routine, you liaise with other departments when required to ensure an immaculate presentation of your outlet and high standards of cleanliness as well as maintenance are upheld at all times including restaurant furniture, equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings.
• Together with your team of hostesses, you ensure the restaurant reservations are optimized to ensure well-controlled productivity, optimal guest satisfaction and optimized revenue generation whilst cross selling other hotel outlets to existing guests.

• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language. Other languages including Arabic, Italian, French, Spanish or German are highly desirable.
