Job summary

Malt is expanding in Dubai and seeking a Community Builder UAE to drive platform adoption and loyalty among local freelancers. You will connect with key players, organize engaging events, and deliver locally relevant programs that align with business objectives.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in Sales or Project management, deep understanding of the UAE market, and strong English communication; French/Arabic are a plus. Hybrid work arrangement, with onboarding in Paris and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
• 2+ years of experience in Sales, project management, or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal English, Arabic/French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-quality local ecosystem from the ground up by sourcing, contacting, and onboarding top freelancers.
• Organize and host local events, workshops, and meetups; create localized content for UAE freelancers.
• Collaborate with local Sales to understand demand and supply qualified profiles.
• Establish partnerships with local actors (Chambers of Commerce, permit providers, coworking spaces).
• Adapt global community initiatives to the UAE market for strong regional engagement.

As Malt is growing and scaling we are looking for motivated individuals to join our Global Community team. The Community team's mission is to attract and activate most high value freelancers, engage them in the community, be responsible for their experience, and contribute to the growth of the company.

As a Community Builder UAE, your mission is to drive platform adoption and foster community loyalty by connecting with key local freelancers. You will act as the bridge between our global framework and the UAE market, executing engaging programs and locally relevant events to generate business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on Community Building & Outreach: Take full ownership of building a high-quality local ecosystem from the ground up. You will proactively source, contact, and onboard top-tier freelancers through daily 1:1 interactions, calls, and networking
• Event Execution & Local Content Creation: Organize and host practical, "must-attend" local events, workshops, and meetups. Draft compelling, hands-on content (newsletters, localized emails, articles) tailored to UAE freelancers to build local presence and keep Malt top-of-mind
• Business Alignment & Sales Support: Collaborate directly with the local Sales team to understand immediate talent demands and execute targeted community initiatives that directly supply qualified profiles to meet business needs
• Ecosystem Partnerships & Execution: Establish operational contacts with key local actors (Chambers of Commerce, freelance permit providers, co-working spaces) to drive freelancer acquisition. Track key activity metrics (attendance, registration, engagement) to consistently optimize local tactics
• Global to Local Execution: Adapt and implement global community initiatives into the UAE market, ensuring global programs are seamlessly localized to drive strong regional engagement and adoption

About You

• Background & Expertise: Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications with 4+ years of experience in Sales, Project manager or similar.
• Regional Expertise: You have at least 2 years of experience in the Middle East (ideally in the UAE), with a deep understanding of the local market dynamics and cultural nuances.
• Business Driven: You act with a growth mindset, ensuring all community initiatives align with business objectives and deliver measurable ROI.
• Concrete Project & Event Management: You have an excellent ability to organize end-to-end events (logistics, invitations, execution) and deploy practical outreach campaigns.
• Relationship Oriented: You are a natural connector who loves engaging directly with people, organizing gatherings, and building genuine, trust-based relationships with freelancers.
• Communication Skills: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives across various channels.
• Languages: Professional fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French and/or Arabic is a strong plus.
