Job summary

TECNIMONT is seeking a Commissioning Machinery Superintendent (HVAC) for the Hail & Ghasha project in Ruwais, UAE. You will execute activities for functional loop checks and interlock/sequence verification in line with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Your duties include developing detailed commissioning procedures for machinery and package tests, preparing and closing the commissioning punch list, supervising vendor specialists, keeping logs, and delivering signed certificates

Qualifications

• University degree or engineering diploma.
• HVAC commissioning expertise.
• Experience in EPC/oil & gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed commissioning procedures for machinery and packages.
• Prepare Commissioning punch lists and ensure timely close.
• Supervise vendors' specialists and coordinate with Commissioning supervisors.
• Monitor activities to ensure procedures and requirements are followed.
• Keep records in the logbook and hand over to QA/QC certification engineer.

Hours/rotation: Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid)

Job summary/Role description

Executing the activities relevant to functional loop checks and to the interlock/sequence’s functionality checks in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

• To develop the detailed commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages and procedures for the functional tests of the machinery.
• To check and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list.
• To supervise closing of pending Punch List Items.
• To monitor and ensure that activities are carried out following the procedures and requirements.
• To supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• To support the Vendors’ specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
• To keep records of all activities performed in the logbook.
• To produce the certificates, duly signed by the parties involved, and handover to certification engineer (QA/QC).

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University Degree / Equivalent Diploma in Engineering

Experience

• Relevant experience in construction/modernization of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants.
• Similar role covered at least in last three projects of comparable size.
• Min 12 years relevant field experience.
• Experience working on the Contractor side.
• Extensive experience in HVAC Commissioning.
