Job summary

TECNIMONT is seeking a Commissioning Machinery Superintendent (HVAC) for the Hail & Ghasha project in Ruwais, UAE. The role oversees commissioning activities, interlock/sequence checks, and ensures compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities include developing procedures, punching lists, supervising vendor specialists, and maintaining thorough logbooks. A university degree in engineering is required, with extensive HVAC commissioning experience and ADNOC-scale project

Qualifications

• 12+ years relevant field experience in oil & gas / EPC projects.
• Experience working on the Contractor side.
• Extensive experience in HVAC commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages and functional tests.
• Check and prepare relevant Commissioning punch lists.
• Supervise closing of pending punch list items.
• Monitor and ensure activities follow procedures and requirements.
• Supervise vendors’ specialists and coordinate with Commissioning supervisors.
• Keep records in the logbook of all activities performed.
• Produce and hand over certificates signed by involved parties to QA/QC.

Hours/rotation: Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid)

Job summary/Role description

Executing the activities relevant to functional loop checks and to the interlock/sequence’s functionality checks in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

• To develop the detailed commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages and procedures for the functional tests of the machinery.
• To check and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list.
• To supervise closing of pending Punch List Items.
• To monitor and ensure that activities are carried out following the procedures and requirements.
• To supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• To support the Vendors’ specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
• To keep records of all activities performed in the logbook.
• To produce the certificates, duly signed by the parties involved, and handover to certification engineer (QA/QC).

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University Degree / Equivalent Diploma in Engineering

Experience

• Relevant experience in construction/modernization of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants.
• Similar role covered at least in last three projects of comparable size.
• Min 12 years relevant field experience.
• Experience working on the Contractor side.
• Extensive experience in HVAC Commissioning.
