Job summary

One&Only The Palm in Dubai is seeking a Commis Waiter/Waitress to join the Food & Beverage team. You will support service, prepare mise-en-place, assist with orders, and ensure a warm, welcoming dining experience for guests.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in a quality hotel, possess basic food & beverage knowledge, and communicate well in English. Strong presentation and teamwork are essential for delivering exceptional guest service daily.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a quality hotel, resort or restaurant.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge.
• Good English communication; additional language is an advantage.
• Strong personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage politely with a diverse range of guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly.
• Prepare mise-en-place correctly before service begins.
• Assist in serving food and beverages promptly with hospitality.
• Maintain restaurant setup and cleanliness to resort standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth service.
• Attend team briefings, meetings and required training sessions.
• Report any breakages or equipment issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Present yourself professionally and maintain good working relationships.
