Job summary

Kerzner International is seeking a Head Waiter/Head Waitress (Russian Speaker) to join the Food & Beverage team at One&Only The Palm in Dubai. You will assist the Restaurant Manager to maintain resort standards and lead service to the highest professional level.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel or resort, strong F&B knowledge, excellent English, and the ability to build relationships with a diverse, high-profile clientele.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in an upscale 5* hotel/resort environment.
• Strong F&B knowledge is a must.
• Excellent personal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with high-profile and diverse clientele.
• Dynamic team player and able to provide the highest standard of service.
• Excellent communication in English; additional language will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist Restaurant Manager to maintain resort standards and supervise staff to the highest professional standards.
• Maintain mise-en-place and prepare all food and beverage requests within time parameters.
• Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of all items offered by the resort and outlet.
• Ensure professional appearance and attitude; uphold hygiene and energy conservation.
• Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues; participate in team events and training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Presents oneself in a way that enhances the guest s overall experience by adding life and energy to the outlet
• Ensures that all mise- en place is correctly prepared prior to commencing service
• Prepares all food and beverage requests within the time parameters set by the resort and always displays attributes of genuine hospitality
• Demonstrates excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage items offered at the resort and other items provided by the outlet
• Ensures that the design and layout of the restaurant and bar equipment is flawless and reflects the image of the resort
• Maintains and creates a working environment that reflects a sense of place
• Delegates responsibilities to service personnel and ensures tasks are completed
• Presents oneself in a professional manner
• Remains updated on all resort happenings including guests in- house arrivals and departures as well as daily events
• Reports incidents of breakages equipment repair and maintenance to Team Leader Supervisor
• Attends and participates in all allocated team events
• Participates in required training related to the job
• To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleges at all levels
• Always ensure a professional attitude towards guests and colleges
• To be conscious and responsible regarding energy and water conservation
• Always maintain the highest levels of personal hygiene
• To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all work areas
