Job summary

Rosewood Abu Dhabi's culinary team is seeking a Commis 1 to prepare and present high-quality dishes within the luxury hotel kitchen. You will follow established recipes, maintain mise en place, and uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards while working under the supervision of the Junior Sous Chef.

You will also assist in guiding junior culinary associates and contribute to consistent, exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen within a hotel, resort, or high-quality restaurant environment.
• Passion for culinary excellence with high-quality dish production.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Effective English communication; other languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes according to recipes and Rosewood standards.
• Support the Junior Sous Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations and hygiene.
• Assist in guiding Commis 2 and Commis 3 to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and proper equipment care.
