Rosewood Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis 1 to support the daily operation of the kitchen, reporting to the Junior Sous Chef. You will help ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards, maintain hygiene, and assist in developing junior team members to contribute to memorable dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional culinary environment focused on quality and consistency.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Organized and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes according to established recipes, quality standards and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure mise en place is fully prepared and organized for all service periods.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Monitor product quality, consistency and portion control throughout food preparation and service.
• Support and guide junior culinary associates in maintaining kitchen standards and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized kitchen environment while ensuring proper use and care of equipment.
