Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman is seeking a skilled culinary professional to join our luxury kitchen team.

You will prepare, cook and present dishes, maintain mise en place, follow recipes and HACCP standards, and learn from senior chefs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of culinary experience in luxury hospitality.
• Good understanding of basic cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and safe food handling practices.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with professional kitchen equipment.
• Awareness of allergies and cross-contamination prevention.
• Ability to follow recipes while maintaining quality during busy service periods.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes within the assigned kitchen section under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Complete daily mise en place to ensure readiness for service.
• Follow established recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards to maintain consistency.
• Handle, label and store ingredients correctly, following FIFO and food safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and organised workstations, equipment and storage areas.
• Follow HACCP principles, food hygiene requirements and kitchen safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving and checking deliveries for quality, freshness and correct storage.
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise food waste through proper handling and portion control.
• Communicate effectively with senior chefs and colleagues to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Participate in culinary training, tastings and ongoing skill development.
