Jumeirah Living Marina Gate in Dubai invites applications for a Commis 3 in Amara Lounge - Kitchen. The role covers preparation, mise en place, and ensuring quality and hygiene standards in a luxury setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume restaurant, basic culinary certification preferred, HACCP knowledge, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume restaurant.
• Basic culinary certification or diploma in Hospitality/Culinary Arts is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen hygiene standards, and food safety practices (HACCP).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and support kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Gather, measure, mix, and prepare meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings according to specified recipes and instructions.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and meats as required, ensuring all preparation meets hygiene and quality standards.
• Cut and season various meats as directed by senior culinary staff, maintaining consistency in preparation techniques.
• Prepare basic dishes such as salads and sauces as instructed, ensuring adherence to recipe specifications and plating guidelines.
• Follow established recipes and plating guides precisely to maintain consistency and quality in food presentation.
• Ensure proper stocking and organization of food items in refrigerators and freezers to maintain freshness and availability.
