Job summary

Jumeirah Saadiyat Island is seeking a Commis 3 to join the Culinary department. The role involves preparing ingredients, maintaining station readiness, and following the recipe index to deliver high-quality dishes.

Ideal candidates have a culinary degree and up to 1 year of kitchen experience in luxury hospitality. The position offers a tax-free salary in AED, plus generous F&B benefits, hotel rates, health care, dental coverage, life insurance, and incentive programs within a renowned luxury

Qualifications

• College degree in culinary arts or equivalent from an accredited culinary school.
• 0–1 year of experience in kitchen roles, ideally in luxury hospitality.
• Experience in luxury hospitality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, measures, mixes, and prepares meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and meat as applicable.
• Cut and season different meats as advised.
• Prepare basic dishes such as salads and sauces as advised.
• Follow established recipe and plating guidelines to exact specifications.
• Ensure food items are stocked properly in refrigerators and freezers.
• Set up the station with par stocks and carry out tasks assigned by the Demi chef.
• Maintain high levels of kitchen assistance services at all times.
• Replenish service lines, restock, and prepare the workstation for the next shift.
• Continually develop culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and storage per established standards.
