Jumeirah Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis I to join the kitchen team. You will support station preparation, set up par stocks, and assist senior chefs with daily cooking tasks in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a range of kitchen areas, ideally within luxury hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Document inventory of kitchen supplies and notify supervisors of low stock.
• Operate kitchen equipment (braising pan, ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers) and set proper temperatures.
• Perform food rotation to ensure ingredient freshness.
• Set up stations with par stocks and assist in all food preparation tasks.
• Ensure knowledge of cooking temperatures, soups, sauces, entrees, and mise en place.
