Job summary

Jumeirah Living Marina Gate is seeking a Commis 3 for Amara Lounge - Kitchen to join our luxury team. The role requires 1–2 years in a similar hotel or high-volume restaurant setting, a basic culinary qualification, and solid HACCP knowledge.

You will support fast-paced kitchen operations, maintain food safety standards, and work closely with senior chefs to deliver consistent dishes and plating quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or high-volume restaurant.
• HACCP compliance knowledge and food safety practices.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Gather, measure, mix, and prepare meal ingredients according to recipes.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and meats to hygiene standards.
• Cut and season meats as directed by senior staff, ensuring consistency.
• Prepare basic dishes like salads and sauces per plating guidelines.
• Follow recipes and plating guides to maintain quality.
• Stock and organize food items in fridges/freezers for freshness.
