Job summary

Proteinea in the UAE is seeking an experienced commercial professional to manage coordination and transaction execution for GROW’s UAE lending and forfaiting business. You will oversee stakeholder relationships, negotiate terms and coordinate from origination through collection with cross-functional teams in Sales, Credit, Legal and Operations.

This role requires direct UAE lending experience, strong negotiation and relationship-management skills, and the ability to support business development

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in commercial lending, SME or corporate banking.
• Direct UAE commercial lending experience is mandatory and includes customer relationships.
• Exposure to forfaiting transactions and their commercial structures.
• Experience coordinating financing transactions across internal teams from opportunity to follow-up.
• Strong understanding of lending pricing, fee structures, term sheets and contracts.

Job Description

Manage commercial coordination and transaction execution for GROW’s UAE lending and forfaiting business. The role will manage stakeholder relationships, negotiate commercial terms and coordinate transactions from origination through to collection, while supporting business development and the establishment of the new operation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main commercial point of contact across Sales, partners, Product, Technology, Credit, Operations, Finance and Legal.
• Manage the progression of lending and forfaiting transactions, ensuring timely completion of requirements and resolution of outstanding issues.
• Negotiate pricing, fees, term sheets and contractual terms within approved parameters.
• Coordinate documentation, credit approvals, legal reviews, disbursements and settlements with the relevant teams.
• Track the transaction pipeline, identify delays and elevate issues affecting execution or customer experience.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, developing relationships and contributing to commercial proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with merchants, business customers, partners and other relevant stakeholders.
• Work with Credit and Product to ensure commercial arrangements align with financing structures and approved credit conditions.
• Coordinate commercial follow-up through repayment and collection with the responsible operational teams.
• Prepare regular commercial, pipeline and performance reports for the Head of Business Unit.
• Recommend improvements to commercial processes, stakeholder coordination and the customer journey.
• Support the launch and development of the UAE lending and forfaiting offering.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in commercial lending, SME or corporate banking, trade finance, or business relationship management within a lending institution.
• Direct UAE commercial lending experience is mandatory, including managing customer relationships, negotiating commercial terms and coordinating transaction execution.
• Practical exposure to forfaiting transactions and their commercial structures.
• Experience coordinating financing transactions across internal functions, from initial opportunity through execution and ongoing follow-up.
• Strong understanding of lending and forfaiting pricing, fee structures, term sheets and contractual terms.
• Ability to understand credit conditions and work effectively with Credit, Legal and Compliance teams.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting a financing product launch or establishing commercial processes in a growing business is preferred.
