Job summary

Ardent Build Partners, based in Dubai, seeks a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function for a portfolio of high-end fit-out projects across the UAE. You will own the numbers from tender handover to final account and report to senior management.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, 10+ years' experience with at least 3 years in a managerial position, and strong UAE fit-out contracting background. UAE-based candidates only.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• 10+ years of experience with at least 3 years as Commercial Manager or Lead QS leading a team.
• Strong UAE fit-out contractor background.
• Solid knowledge of FIDIC and UAE contract practice.
• Proven track record on final accounts, variations and claims.
• Confident communicator and experienced in leading client meetings.
• Currently based in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management across multiple fit out projects from award to final account.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of QSs.
• Review and administer main contracts and subcontracts, flag risk early.
• Own monthly cost reports, cost to complete, cash flow and margin forecasting.
• Drive payment applications, valuations and collection.

• Lead procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
• Settle final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Present commercial position to directors and clients.

About the role

Ardent Build Partners is recruiting a Commercial Manager for a well established Dubai fit out contractor. The business delivers high end commercial, retail, hospitality and residential interiors across the UAE, with a strong pipeline and repeat clients.

You will lead the commercial function across a portfolio of live projects, report into senior management and own the numbers from tender handover to final account.
