Job summary

Aloft Abu Dhabi is hiring a dedicated kitchen team member to support daily food preparation and service in our busy hotel kitchen.

In this role you will prepare ingredients, portion, wash, chop, and cook following recipes and quality standards, and ensure proper temperatures and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma and have at least 1 year of related experience; no supervisory duties required. This is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods to determine if cooked sufficiently.
• Set up and break down work station; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Follow safety policies; maintain professional appearance and protect company assets.
