Job summary

Burj Line Builders in Dubai seeks an experienced CNC machinist to setup, program, and run DMG MORI 3- to 5-axis machines, read blueprints, and ensure first-piece accuracy.

You will edit Siemens Sinumerik programs (ShopMill/ShopTurn), adjust tooling offsets, perform GD&T inspection with calipers, micrometers, and CMM outputs, and conduct routine PM on the machines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on CNC experience, a high school diploma or trade certificate, and knowledge of CAM basics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines.
• Recent DMG MORI CNC machine experience (DMU, CMX, NLX, NTX or similar).
• Proficiency in Siemens Sinumerik controllers (840D / ONE / ShopMill / ShopTurn / Operate).
• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or Precision Machining.
• Advanced ability to read technical drawings, CAD prints, and GD&T symbols.
• Mastery in using hand measurement tools (micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators).

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation:

  • Setup, adjust, and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis DMG MORI CNC milling and turning machines.

  • Load raw materials, install fixtures, dial in work offsets, and set up cutting tooling (end mills, drills, taps, inserts, etc.).

  • Perform dry runs, single-block execution, and first-piece inspections to verify setup before full production runs.

• Programming & Control:

  • Read, interpret, and edit Siemens Sinumerik programs directly at the controller using G-code/M-code or conversational programming (ShopMill / ShopTurn).

  • Make parameter adjustments, tool length offsets, cutter compensation, and feed/speed tweaks as needed.

• Quality Control & Inspection:

  • Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) callouts.

  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMM outputs.

  • Ensure components consistently meet tight tolerances (e.g., $pm 0.0005''$ / $pm 0.01 text{ mm}$).

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct daily and weekly preventive maintenance on DMG MORI machines (coolant levels, lubrication system, chip conveyor, spindle check).

  • Diagnose operational issues, tool wear, and chatter; make real-time adjustments to cutting parameters.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience operating CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment.

• Machine Expertise: Demonstrated, recent experience running DMG MORI CNC machines (DMU, CMX, NLX, NTX, or similar series).

• Control Language: Proficiency in Siemens Sinumerik controllers (840D / ONE / ShopMill / ShopTurn / Operate).

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certificate / Vocational Diploma in Machine Tool Technology or Precision Machining.

• Blueprint Reading: Advanced ability to read technical drawings, CAD prints, and GD&T symbols.

• Measuring Tools: Mastery in using hand measurement tools (micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators).

Preferred / Desirable Skills

• Experience with CELOS user interface on DMG MORI machines.

• Knowledge of Fanuc or Heidenhain controls is a plus.

• basic CAM software knowledge (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or Esprit).

• Experience machining tough materials (Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Tool Steels).
