Job summary

F j T general trading seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to drive programming, optimization and maintenance of advanced CNC processes. You will interpret complex drawings, GD&T, and choose cutting tools to optimize machining strategies, while guiding production teams and junior staff.

You will develop and edit programs for turning and milling, reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, and lead technical guidance on the shop floor for efficiency and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC programming and machining in manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings interpretation.
• Experience with selecting cutting tools and optimizing machining strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit and optimize CNC programs for turning, milling and related operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; select tools and set parameters.
• Support shop floor with initial setups, troubleshoot programming or machining issues.
• Coordinate with production, QA and design teams to implement process improvements.

Job description

Developing optimizing and maintaining advanced CNC programs for precision machining driving process improvements reducing cycle times and providing technical guidance to production teams and junior staff

Key Responsibilities

• 1 Programming amp Process Optimization: Develop edit and optimize complex CNC programs for various machining operations turning milling etc Improve cycle times minimize scrap material and enhance overall shop floor productivity Maintain comprehensive program documentation and strict revision control
• 2 Engineering amp Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings GD amp T Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and technical specifications Select appropriate cutting tools optimize cutting parameters and determine effective machining strategies
• 3 Shop Floor Support amp Troubleshooting: Perform initial machine setups and guide machine operators during first-time job runs Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues directly on the shop floor Train mentor and support junior CNC programmers and machine operators
• 4 Cross-Functional Coordination amp Continuous Improvement: Coordinate closely with production quality assurance and design teams to implement process improvements Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all machining operations Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

Technical Competencies amp Requirements

• Programming amp Software: Strong command of G-code M-code and CAM software eg Mastercam Fusion 360 or equivalent
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of machining processes cutting tools material behaviors and engineering drawing interpretation
• Core Skills: Advanced problem-solving shop-floor troubleshooting strong attention to detail and cross-functional communication

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming and machining within a manufacturing or production environment
