Job summary

Keymir Energy LLC FZ in Dubai seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 5-axis machining centers for impellers, shafts, rotors and related high-precision rotating parts. You will read drawings, select tools, and optimize offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.

The role requires proficiency with Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain controls, familiarity with CAM programs, and meticulous in-process inspection using micrometers and gauges.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T tolerances to manufacturable specifications.
• Experience operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce impellers, shafts and rotors with tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with high-performance alloys like Inconel, titanium, stainless steel is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up strong 5-axis CNC machining centers strong for the manufacture of impellers shafts rotors and other high-precision rotating components
• Perform machine setup workpiece alignment fixture setup tool selection tool setting and offset adjustment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings machining drawings GD T requirements tolerances and manufacturing specifications
• Execute CNC programs and make necessary tool-offset or parameter adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
• Machine complex impeller profiles blades hubs shafts journals rotor features keyways threads grooves and other precision geometries
• Monitor cutting conditions tool wear spindle load vibration surface finish and machining performance during production
• Conduct in-process dimensional inspection using micrometers vernier calipers height gauges bore gauges dial indicators and other precision measuring instruments
• Ensure finished components meet required dimensions tolerances surface finish and quality standards
• Work with various materials including carbon steel stainless steel alloy steel Inconel titanium and other high-performance alloys as applicable
• Identify machining abnormalities dimensional deviations tool wear chatter and other production issues and take corrective action
• Coordinate with CNC programmers manufacturing engineers quality inspectors and production supervisors
• Maintain proper identification and traceability of workpieces tooling programs and production documentation
• Perform basic daily machine checks cleaning lubrication and preventive maintenance activities
• Follow approved machining procedures quality requirements HSE rules and workshop safety practices
• Support continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing machining time scrap tool consumption and rework

Qualifications

• Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, CNC Technology, or equivalent.
• Proven hands-on experience operating 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Experience machining impellers, shafts, rotors, turbine/compressor components, or similar high-precision rotating equipment parts is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, tool offsets, and machining parameters.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings, GD T symbols, tolerances, and machining specifications.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar CNC controls.
• Familiarity with CAM-generated CNC programs and basic understanding of G-code is preferred.
• Good experience machining difficult materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, Inconel, or titanium is an advantage.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and performing in-process inspection.
• Good understanding of surface finish, dimensional tolerances, concentricity, runout, and geometric accuracy.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining problems such as chatter, tool breakage, dimensional variation, and poor surface finish.
• Strong attention to detail, quality awareness, and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing and quality team.
