Job summary

EPI in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced CNC Milling machine operator to set up and run milling and turning tasks, translating engineering drawings into precise dimensions and monitoring tool wear and process quality. You will record production logs and perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a 3+ year track record in CNC Milling, ability to interpret engineering drawings, and commitment to 5S housekeeping standards within a manufacturing environment in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Trade School Accreditation/High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate or diploma in Engineering is an advantage.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S under the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform drilling, grinding, milling and turning tasks.
• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
• Oversee machines during execution and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
• Record machine actions by completing production and quality logs and keep detailed records.
• Perform necessary maintenance, coolant monitoring and cleaning of equipment daily.
• Inspect finished products to ensure machining results meet client requirements.
• Troubleshoot machines to minimize downtime.
• Perform in-process measurement and visual inspection for quality.
• Fill in controlled documents and SFC data entry including downtime daily.
• Monitor scrap levels and alert if exceedances occur.
• Set up cutting tools according to tool list and use heat shrink fit and dynamic balancer.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling & turning.
• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
• Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
• Record all machine related actions by completing production and quality logs, keeping detailed records for equipment and procedures.
• Perform necessary maintenance, Coolant Monitoring and cleaning of equipment daily.
• Inspect finished product to ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
• Perform general machine trouble shooting to minimize down time.
• Perform In- Process Measurement and Visual Inspection to ensure the quality of product meets customer requirements.
• Fill in all controlled required documents and SFC data entry including down time on daily basis.
• Monitor scrap levels against the parts produced under your responsibility and highlight if levels exceed average.
• Set up cutting tools as per Cutting tool list, using a heat shrink fit, dynamic tool balancer, to ensure tools are in line with the drawing requirement.

Experience
