Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Cluster Housing Supervisor for our Abu Dhabi team to oversee colleague accommodations and ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for our staff. You will manage room allocations, inspections, and maintenance coordination across departments.

The role emphasizes strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication to resolve colleague requests and maintain high standards of living for our team in a dynamic hospitality

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of colleague accommodations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
• Conduct regular accommodation inspections for policy, hygiene, safety, and guidelines compliance.
• Coordinate room allocations, check-ins/outs, and arrangements for new joiners and existing colleagues.
• Maintain occupancy records, allocation lists, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Housekeeping and other departments to resolve issues.
• Address colleague requests and concerns professionally for a comfortable living environment.
• Monitor occupancy and manage capacity according to company policies and requirements.
• Communicate accommodation rules clearly and ensure resident compliance.
• Perform regular checks of facilities, fire safety equipment, and essential areas, escalating concerns.
• Support audits and keep required records, notices, and documentation available.
• Prepare regular reports on occupancy, availability, maintenance issues, and operations.
• Promote a positive living environment and fair treatment of colleagues.

We are looking for a responsible, organised, and people-oriented Cluster Housing Supervisor to oversee colleague accommodation and ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for our team members.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you will mainly be responsible for:

• Oversee the daily operations of colleague accommodations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance.
• Conduct regular accommodation inspections to ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene standards, safety requirements, and company guidelines.
• Coordinate room allocations, check-ins, check-outs, room transfers, and accommodation arrangements for new joiners and existing colleagues.
• Maintain accurate accommodation records, occupancy reports, room allocation lists, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Security, Housekeeping, and other relevant departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and accommodation concerns.
• Address colleague requests, complaints, and concerns professionally, ensuring a comfortable and respectful living environment.
• Monitor room occupancy and ensure accommodation capacity is managed in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
• Ensure accommodation rules and regulations are communicated clearly and followed by all residents.
• Conduct regular checks of accommodation facilities, common areas, fire safety equipment, and other essential facilities, escalating any concerns promptly.
• Monitor housekeeping, maintenance, and general upkeep of accommodation facilities.
• Support accommodation audits and ensure all required records, notices, and documentation are maintained and readily available.
• Prepare regular reports on accommodation occupancy, room availability, maintenance issues, and other operational matters.
• Promote a positive living environment by ensuring colleagues are treated with fairness, respect, and genuine care.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in colleague housing, accommodation operations, facilities management, or a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of accommodation management, room allocation, and occupancy control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle colleague concerns professionally.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
• Good knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and accommodation standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate reports and records.
• Good command of English; additional languages will be an advantage.
