Job summary

Global Recruitz is seeking an experienced Claims Manager for Non-Motor to lead the claims function, drive end-to-end lifecycle management, and ensure compliant handling of all claims while optimizing costs and enhancing customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in insurance claims, with 3–5 years in a supervisory role, and broad exposure across Property, Casualty, Engineering, Marine, General Accident, Travel, Home and Retail insurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance claims, with 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience across Property, Casualty, Engineering, Marine, General Accident, Travel, Home and Retail Insurance.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling, coverage interpretation, reserving, reinsurance/co-insurance, recoveries, salvage and litigation.
• ACII/AIII or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end claims lifecycle including assessment, reserving, settlement, recoveries, litigation and closure.
• Ensure reserve adequacy, claims leakage control and effective cost management.
• Manage relationships with customers, brokers, reinsurers, co-insurers, surveyors, adjusters and legal advisors.

• Oversee recoveries, salvage and third-party claims.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, AML/sanctions guidelines and internal policies.
• Analyse claims trends and prepare management reports to support business and profitability decisions.
• Monitor external vendors/service providers and ensure agreed service standards are met.
