Position Overview

Civil Site Inspector role in Dubai focused on site supervision, quality assurance, and compliance monitoring for transportation and civil infrastructure projects. This position supports the Resident Engineer team to ensure construction activities meet approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations, and health and safety requirements across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure contractor compliance with project standards, specifications, and approved drawings
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, and site activities
• Carry out site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
• Liaise daily with contractors to ensure effective resource management, health and safety, and equipment utilization
• Prepare daily site reports including work progress, materials delivery, and inspection activities
• Implement and follow up on site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
• Apply and enforce quality assurance and quality control procedures on site
• Perform site measurements and surveying checks including alignments, levels, and elevations
• Coordinate with client representatives during inspections alongside the Resident Engineer team
• Monitor contractor QA and QC activities and maintain accurate records
• Assist in preparation of correspondence, reports, and documentation in line with contract requirements
• Identify site issues and support timely resolution with the Resident Engineer team
• Monitor commissioning, start-up, and handover activities and record project milestones
• Maintain records of material tests, inspection reports, and executed works
• Conduct audit inspections to verify compliance with contract documents and approved plans
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports and Site Observation Reports and follow up corrective actions
• Review contractor RFIs and technical submittals and provide recommendations to the Resident Engineer team
• Monitor contractor progress against approved schedules and report potential delays
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements including RTA, DM, and DEWA
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of civil works
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements and report violations immediately
• Participate in site meetings, coordination sessions, and technical discussions
• Conduct final inspections and punch list verification prior to handover

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in site supervision, inspection, or quality control on civil or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA QC procedures
