Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) is seeking a Civil Engineer to support on-site execution and supervision of swimming pools and water features, ensuring works comply with approved drawings, structural specs, and quality standards.

You will review drawings, supervise pool shell construction, coordinate with MEP teams, monitor waterproofing and QA, and report progress to the Project Manager. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 3–5 years' hands-on pool experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of civil engineering experience, with swimming pools and water features construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review civil/structural drawings and specifications for swimming pools, water features, and associated hardscape works.
• Supervise site execution of pool shell construction (excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, waterproofing).
• Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure proper embedment and coordination of pool pipework, fittings, and electrical conduits within civil works.
• Monitor waterproofing application and quality control for pool structures and water features.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with structural drawings, tolerances, and finishing standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for material delivery, manpower planning, and work sequencing.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection checklists, and site documentation.
• Assist in resolving on-site technical and coordination issues related to civil works.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and quality assurance procedures on-site.
• Report progress, risks, and issues to Project Manager / Sr. Civil Engineer.
