Job summary

Stantec in Dubai seeks an Inspector with a civil engineering background to oversee projects focused on sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and related infrastructure. You will perform site investigations, monitor construction, and ensure workmanship meets design specifications.

You will collaborate with engineers and subcontractors, prepare reports, and coordinate with international team members to deliver assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 7+ years of construction and supervision experience in sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and related works.
• Experience in UAE is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and coordination abilities.

Job Description

The role involves working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, pipelines valves Rising main construction supervision & monitoring of design and infrastructure work.

Technical Delivery

• Interacting with clients and contractor’s staff to determine and verify project requirements.
• Preparing inspection reports and site records.
• Performing civil and structural tests.
• Providing general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
• Identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions and coordinating responses.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Collaboration and working as part of a team

• Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
• Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations
• Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.
• Good communicator.

Client Service Management

Qualifications

• Must have a Diploma/Degree in Civil
• The Inspector must have relevant technical qualifications and over seven (7) years of experience in the construction and supervision of sewerage, stormwater, Irrigation, and miscellaneous works.
• Strong team working capabilities. Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
• A proactive approach, working effectively in co-ordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
• Preferably with experience in UAE
