Job summary

STANTEC MIDDLE EAST LIMITED - DUBAI BRANCH is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector for projects in Abu Dhabi/Al Ain, covering sewage and water network rehabilitation, investigations, planning, design support, tendering and site supervision.

The role requires 5+ years in sewerage rehab, a Civil Engineering qualification, proficiency with survey instruments, and strong English communication. On-site work with coordination across global teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years' experience in Sewage/Sewerage rehab projects and infrastructure supervision
• Experience in survey with modern instruments and recording measurements
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Role overview

The role involves working on projects associated with Sewage Stormwater Flood Alleviation Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station Recycling Plant and rehabilitation works This will involve undertaking investigations planning designing tendering contract administration and construction supervising monitoring

Key accountabilities

• Technical Delivery Interacting with clients and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements
• Preparing inspection reports and site records
• Performing civil and structural tests
• Providing general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship
• Identifying non-conforming works generating reports and corrective actions and coordinating responses
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
• Collaboration and working as part of a team
• Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems
• Support performing basic design calculations as required
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and site investigations
• Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks and project
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Experienced in the survey work with modern instruments and in keeping site measurement records

Qualifications and experience

• The Inspector must have relevant technical qualification and must have not less than 5 years\' experience in miscellaneous Sewage / Sewerage rehab work projects and supervision of infrastructure works
• Must have a Diploma/Degree in Civil
• Must be well experienced in the survey work with modern instruments and in keeping site measurement records
• Experience in identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions and coordinating responses
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
