Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support multidisciplinary civil infrastructure design programs in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with the Project Manager and technical teams to maintain scope, schedule, interfaces, risks, changes and deliverables.

We value candidates with exposure to project or design management in an engineering consultancy, and a technical background in utilities, roads or transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3-7 years of project management or design management exposure.
• Technical background in utilities, roads and transportation infrastructure.
• Experience in engineering consultancy and multidisciplinary delivery.
• Familiarity with scheduling, risk and change management; PMI/PMP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in day-to-day management of multidisciplinary design projects.
• Develop, monitor and update programmes, milestones and resource needs.
• Coordinate interfaces between disciplines and identify scope gaps and dependencies.
• Track progress, risks, actions, approvals and key decisions.
• Support project controls including budget monitoring and progress reporting.
• Identify scope changes and assist with variations/change requests.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, subconsultants and stakeholders.
• Prepare for client and project meetings, including agendas and follow-ups.
• Oversee QA/QC, BIM and document control processes to meet requirements.
• Support authority submissions and maintain visibility of approval dependencies.
• Maintain project information management, registers and trackers.
• Promote lessons learned and continuous improvement across delivery.
