Job summary

Elsewedy Electric UAE is seeking a Competent Civil Engineer to provide technical and engineering support for civil project activities. You will ensure civil works comply with approved designs, specs, and schedules, while coordinating with project teams and authorities.

The role requires 5-8 years of relevant construction experience, a civil engineering degree, and strong supervision and QA skills to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Strong ability to review drawings, specs, and BOQs.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret civil drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities at project sites.
• Ensure civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Prepare and review technical submissions, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Monitor the quality and progress of civil works and report any technical issues or delays.
• Assist in resolving technical problems and provide engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, authority requirements, and project specs.
• Monitor excavation, foundations, concrete works, structural works, roads, drainage, and other civil activities.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and authorities.
• Monitor use and quality of construction materials and ensure specs are met.
• Support project documentation including as-built drawings and handover files.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and project safety requirements.
