Job summary

TALENTS TIDE HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTING is recruiting for a Chief Accountant to join the Dubai Government sector. The role ensures salaries and entitlements are paid accurately and on time across several government entities, within a shared services framework.

You will review payroll, pension calculations, and statutory contributions, oversee end-of-service settlements, and manage data integrity and stakeholder interactions with government entities and banks.

Qualifications

• Emirati with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 6+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years.
• Strong hands-on experience with payroll, end-of-service settlements, and pension/statutory contributions
• Solid knowledge of payroll systems and audit controls
• Good communication skills for dealing with government entities and banks

Responsibilities

• Review and verify payroll and entitlement payments against SLAs and audit all payment types
• Make final checks on monthly pension calculations and other statutory contributions
• Oversee end-of-service gratuity calculations and final settlements for leaving employees
• Process allowances paid with monthly payroll including travel allowances
• Check onboarding of new employees on the approved systems and maintain self-service accounts
• Check payroll cost centres across all records and systems
• Keep payroll and entitlement records complete and up to date
• Handle queries from client entities and suggest solutions in line with SLAs
• Train client staff on systems and procedures and share technical knowledge with the accounting team
• Help prepare operational plans and KPIs and send regular performance reports to the Section Head
• Suggest improvements that make payroll processes simpler and more efficient

• Oversee end-of-service gratuity calculations and final settlements for leaving employees

• Check payroll cost centres across all records and systems
• Keep payroll and entitlement records complete and up to date
• Handle queries from client entities and suggest solutions in line with SLAs
