Job summary

A construction company is seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman in Sharjah. Responsibilities include layout, installation, and maintenance of structures, as well as reading blueprints. Carpenter Foreman

Overview: We are seeking an experienced carpenter with understanding of numerous carpentry techniques. You will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. You will also assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials according to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Layout, installation, repair, finishing, and maintenance of structures and fixtures.
• Reading, interpreting, and translating blueprints.
• Assist managers with architectural design, planning, design, and installation.
• Repair and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cupboards, stairs, and other components as required.
• Evaluate the quality of woodwork and materials.
• Operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
• Comply with local building regulations and health and safety policies.
• Provide excellent client service.
• Stand for extended periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects as needed.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or at least 4 years of experience as a journey-level carpenter. Additional qualifications may be required.
• Ability to read and translate blueprints.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination; ability to operate tools, devices, and equipment.
• Mathematics knowledge relevant to carpentry.
• Capacity to stand, climb, and lift heavy items; ability to travel to site locations.
