Job summary

Time Out Market Abu Dhabi, operated by C2i, is seeking a passionate Cafe Supervisor to lead daily cafe operations and deliver outstanding guest service as we open Abu Dhabi’s first Time Out Market.

You will mentor the barista team, manage opening/closing procedures, monitor stock and POS transactions, and ensure adherence to food safety standards. The role requires strong English communication and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months to one year of direct work experience.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage presentation.
• Experience in high-volume operations, opening and closing duties, guest relations, and sanitation and safety.
• Ability to create and maintain a sense of urgency.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, verbally and in writing, with staff, clients and the public.
• Ability to maintain composure, personal integrity and a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude always and listen empathetically.
• Ability to work as a team, stay organised, handle various projects at one time, follow up and make accurate decisions.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High School Diploma preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the café to ensure efficient and smooth service
• Lead, motivate and support the barista team to achieve operational excellence
• Train new employees and support ongoing staff development
• Foster teamwork, professionalism and a positive work environment
• Monitor POS transactions, payment handling and daily sales activities
• Support the achievement of sales targets through upselling and effective service
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety
