Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
• Deliver BTEC Business lessons with clear learning outcomes, practical examples, and structured assessment support.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curriculum content, course materials, lesson plans, and teaching methods.
• Use strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy to make business concepts engaging and relevant.
• Prepare students for internal assessments, coursework requirements, examinations, and academic progression.
• Monitor student achievement, identify learning needs, and provide targeted support to improve performance.
• Encourage critical thinking, enterprise awareness, problem‑solving, and understanding of real‑world business practices.
• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, participation, academic effort, and classroom achievement.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to support curriculum planning, assessment quality, and school improvement goals.
• Communicate professionally with parents, students, and school leadership regarding progress and learning outcomes.

Ideal Profile

• Master's degree in Business Studies or a closely related subject.
• B.Ed, QTS, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
• Experience teaching BTEC Business is required.
