Key Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE Business through well‑planned, engaging and academically focused lessons.
• Deliver Business curriculum content with accurate subject knowledge, clear learning outcomes and strong classroom practice.
• Support students in understanding business activity, enterprise, marketing, finance, human resources, operations, strategy and external influences.
• Develop students' analytical writing, case study evaluation, commercial awareness and examination technique.
• Plan differentiated lessons that challenge able learners while supporting students who need additional guidance.
• Use creative teaching methods, business examples, case studies, discussions, digital tools and assessment tasks to improve engagement.
• Monitor, assess, record and report student progress using clear targets, feedback and assessment evidence.
• Prepare students for GCSE assessments, mock examinations, external examinations and independent study.
• Demonstrate exemplary teaching practice and contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
• Create a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, confidence, collaboration, respect and active participation.
• Work closely with colleagues, parents, students, department leaders and school leadership to support student achievement and well‑being.

Ideal Profile / Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or Bachelor's degree with PGCE, PGDE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Business, Economics, Commerce, Management or related subject background is preferred.
• Proven experience teaching Business at GCSE level.
• Early Career Teachers with strong subject knowledge and training may be considered.
• Experience in a British curriculum or international school environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of GCSE Business curriculum expectations, assessment standards and examination preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach to classroom teaching and wider school life.
