Job summary

Cartier in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Business Risk Manager to strengthen the internal-control and compliance framework across boutiques, POS, and offices in the UAE. You will partner with boutique teams to balance risk controls with exceptional client service and operational efficiency.

You will lead reviews of operations manuals, support training on AML and fraud prevention, conduct operational checks, analyse sales activity, and follow up on audit findings to improve control

Qualifications

• Experience in internal controls, compliance, audit or risk management.
• Ability to assess business situations, identify risk areas and fraud exposure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Independent and discreet with integrity.
• Fluency in English; French and/or Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain the Boutique Operations Manual with regional/international teams.
• Partner with boutique management to optimise workflows while ensuring risk controls.
• Train boutique staff on operational controls, compliance, AML and fraud prevention.
• Ensure onboarding introduces compliance during probation.
• Support boutiques with queries and continuous-improvement initiatives to increase client-facing time.
• Analyse boutique sales activity (exchanges, refunds, deposits, high-value transactions, price changes, reservations).
• Conduct Operational Checks across boutiques and provide reports.
• Follow up on audit findings and implement improvements to strengthen controls.
• Ensure inventories and operations comply with Maison standards and resolve discrepancies.
• Assess business risks and support investigations with confidentiality.

Job description

How will you make an impact?

As Business Risk Manager, you will support the Maison's internal-control and compliance framework across boutiques, points of sale, digital activities and office operations in the UAE. You will partner closely with boutique and cross-functional teams to strengthen controls while supporting operational efficiency and an exceptional client experience.

You Will

• Review and maintain the Boutique Operations Manual in collaboration with regional and international teams.
• Partner with boutique management to optimise operational workflows while ensuring effective risk control.
• Engage boutique administrative teams through regular meetings, guidance and training on operational controls, compliance, AML and fraud prevention.
• Ensure new joiners receive an appropriate introduction to compliance and boutique operations during their probation period.
• Support boutiques with operational queries and continuous-improvement initiatives aimed at increasing client-facing time.
• Analyse boutique sales activity, including exchanges, refunds, deposits, high-value transactions, price changes and reservations.
• Conduct Operational Checks across boutiques and points of sale, provide on-site guidance and prepare the related reports.
• Follow up on audit findings and recommend improvements to strengthen control effectiveness.
• Ensure boutique inventories and product-related operations comply with Maison and Group standards, including the resolution of any discrepancies.
• Assess business risks, contribute to process-improvement projects and support investigations and other sensitive boutique matters with complete confidentiality.

• In-depth knowledge of boutique operations, with experience in internal controls, compliance, audit or business risk.
• The ability to assess business situations and transactions, identifying risk areas, potential fraud exposure and opportunities for improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• An independent and solutions-oriented approach, with a high level of integrity and discretion.
