BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Business Development Manager Position Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team. This is an inbound-focused role designed to expand our reach across small and mid-market segments, helping convert incoming opportunities into revenue.
You will support Territory Sales Managers by qualifying and managing inbound leads, progressing opportunities, and handling lower-complexity accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional looking to build strong foundational selling skills while making a direct commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home and virtual consultations with professionalism and precision
- Manage and respond to inbound leads from small and mid-market prospects
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand customer needs, timelines, and decision criteria
- Assess opportunities and determine when to elevate to Territory Sales Representatives
Sales Support & Opportunity Management
- Own your sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to booking
- Support multiple Territory Sales Representatives with transactional and lower-complexity opportunities
- Progress deals through the pipeline, including follow-ups, pricing coordination, and proposal preparation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems
- Act as a key point of contact for assigned prospects
- Provide timely responses, product information, and basic solution guidance
- Deliver a professional and consistent customer experience aligned with Sirva standards
Market Coverage Expansion
- Increase coverage by actively pursuing smaller inbound opportunities
- Identify trends in inbound demand to support continuous improvement
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- 1–3 years’ experience in business development, account management, or customer operations
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, and virtual)
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and support several stakeholders
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and understanding of sales pipelines
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience supporting senior or field-based sales teams coupled with background in inbound sales or lead management
- Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margin, and business impact)
- Highly organised, self‑motivated, and accountable
- Experience in consultative or solution-based selling
