Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, resolving BMS issues, coordinating with facility management, and developing control strategies aligned with energy conservation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems, including architecture, controls and integration.
• Experience with building operation management systems and monitoring platforms.
• Understanding of Building Services (HVAC, lighting, power) and their interaction with BMS.
• Facility Management processes and coordination with FM teams.
• Hands-on experience with BMS platforms, field devices and protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX.

Role Description

The Building Management Systems Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This position is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure efficient operation of building services and energy usage.

Day-to-day tasks include monitoring and optimizing system performance, troubleshooting and resolving BMS-related issues, and coordinating with facility management teams and other technical stakeholders. The engineer will develop and update control strategies, review system data and reports, and support energy conservation initiatives aligned with envent energy’s solutions. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, preparing technical documentation, and providing technical guidance to operations and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Building Management and Building Management Systems, including system architecture, controls, and integration.

Experience with Management Systems related to building operations, such as monitoring platforms and performance reporting tools.

Understanding of Building Services (HVAC, lighting, power, and related systems) and their interaction with BMS.

Competence in Facility Management (FM) processes, including coordination with FM teams to optimize building performance and energy use.

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.

Hands-on experience with BMS platforms, field devices, and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX) is highly beneficial.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose practical improvements for energy efficiency and system reliability.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in cross-functional teams in Dubai.

Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
