Detailed Job Description

As a BMS Engineer within the Data Center Operations team, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimization of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing HVAC systems, power systems, generators, UPS infrastructure, and Building Management Systems to ensure uninterrupted operations within a highly available data center environment. Working closely with vendors, customers, facility teams, and security personnel, you will support preventive maintenance programs, incident response activities, and operational excellence initiatives. The role demands strong technical expertise in data center facilities management, BMS platforms, and critical infrastructure operations. Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical facility infrastructure including Chillers, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, Computer Room Air Handling (CRAH) units, Direct Expansion (DX) units, Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHU), generators, and BMS platforms
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, UPS systems, and low-voltage switchgear
• Monitor environmental conditions and critical alarms through Building Management Systems and routine facility inspections
• Manage and maintain operational documentation including Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), maintenance schedules, and asset registers
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for operational incidents and infrastructure failures
• Support incident management processes, escalation procedures, reporting, and service restoration activities
• Coordinate maintenance activities with vendors, customers, facility management teams, and security personnel
• Prepare operational, environmental, capacity utilization, inventory, and performance reports
• Ensure compliance with data center operational standards, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices
• Participate in 24×7 shift operations, emergency response activities, and on‑call support rotations

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Building Management Systems (BMS), Critical Facilities, or Data Center Operations
• Hands‑on experience with Schneider Sigma, EcoStruxure, and Tridium Niagara platforms
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and mechanical infrastructure
• Experience supporting electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, and switchgear equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering schematics, and single‑line diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis capabilities
• Experience managing maintenance schedules, operational procedures, and facility documentation
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Valid UAE Driving License
• Ability to work effectively within shift‑based and mission‑critical operational environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Previous experience working within Tier III or Tier IV Data Centers
• Knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms
