Job summary

ENGIE Cofely Energy Services LLC is seeking a BMS Operator to test, calibrate, operate and repair building management systems across HVAC and associated equipment in UAE projects.

The ideal candidate has a technical diploma and hands-on experience with BMS, commissioning and maintenance on large hotel/hospital/commercial sites, plus proficiency with test equipment and MS Office. An UAE driving license is desirable and English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 3 Years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Min. 3 Years’ experience in AC & Refrigeration Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to control and monitoring systems and perform needed repairs.
• Tests and calibrates system devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring system.
• Inspects, troubleshoots, performs corrective and preventative maintenance on BMS and HVAC-control equipment.
• Installs, adjusts and services mechanical and electronic locks, card access systems, camera systems and related equipment.
• Install, modify, and maintain system hardware such as electrical conduit, sensor wiring, communications wiring, antenna wiring, radio equipment, power supplies, control system enclosures, etc.
• Install and maintain motor control systems for fans, pumps, compressors, etc.
• Check Monitor, maintain and install building automation system for HVAC, fume hoods, exhaust fans, environmental growth chambers and related systems.
• Maintain operator workstations including creating/updating graphics, maintaining a point database, and maintaining communications infrastructure.

BMS Operator

Job Purpose:

The Building Systems Controls Technician will be in charge of testing, calibrating, operating and repair of BMS control systems along with their related software, hardware, and equipment.

These systems include energy management systems, heat pump control systems, chiller control systems, plant monitoring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to control and monitoring systems and perform needed repairs.
• Tests and calibrates system devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring system
• Inspects, troubleshoots, performs corrective and preventative maintenance on BMS and HVAC-control equipment.
• Installs, adjusts and services mechanical and electronic locks, card access systems, camera systems and related equipment.
• Install, modify, and maintain system hardware such as electrical conduit, sensor wiring, communications wiring, antenna wiring, radio equipment, power supplies, control system enclosures, etc.
• Install and maintain motor control systems for fans, pumps, compressors, etc.

• Exercise a personal duty of care for own and team’s health, safety, and welfare and for those affected by the acts or omissions and promote the same within their work area of responsibility.

Skills Required:

• Minimum 3 Years’ Experience with installation, Commissioning, third party integrations & Servicing of Various Brands of BMS system.
• Must have experience working in large projects prefer to hotels/hospitals/commercial sites.
• Proven track record of handling customers on emergency situations like breakdowns and emergency calls.
• Proficient in creating monthly/Quarterly PPM reports, PPM schedules and ensure all the PPMs have been completed as per schedule and contract terms.
• Knowledge of Maintenance related software experience.
• Can correctly setup and use test equipment and interpret the test results.
• Good knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Can read interpret and describe the functionality of HVAC system drawings (circuit & wiring diagrams / schematic & layout drawings) irrespective of manufacturer.
• Knowledge in the use & interpretation of Local and International Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Standards and Regulations.
• Current valid UAE driving license is desirable
• Ability to communicate with project stakeholders in oral and written English.

Working knowledge in using MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point)
