Job Summary

The Bellman assists with the delivery and collection of guest luggage, parcels, and messages. The Bellman keeps the lobby tidy and ensures all guests receive prompt, cordial, and efficient attention throughout their stay. The Bellman promotes hotel products and services during guest contact and acts as a doorman, opening doors and controlling traffic at the Porte Cochère.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to resort rules and regulations per service standards, policies, and procedures.
• Be fully aware of resort emergency procedures.
• Maintain an immaculate uniform and appearance.
• Stay updated on departmental revenue targets and support goal achievement.
• Possess in‑depth knowledge of hotel products to maximize revenue.
• Be aware of all functions, conferences, and special events taking place in the resort.
• Assist Security in monitoring for suspicious activity.
• Escalate any guest complaints to management promptly.
• Treat internal and external customers fairly, building positive relationships.
• Engage with guests, encouraging feedback to improve the stay.
• Greet guests upon arrival at the Porte Cochère.
• Handle incoming and outgoing guest luggage, storing it properly.
• Confirm the correct number of luggage items before guest departure and load them into the vehicle.
• Ensure proper tagging of luggage with all required details.
• Address guests by name whenever possible.
• Manage smooth traffic flow at the Porte Cochère.
• Maintain lobby presence and assist front desk agents.
• Escort guests to rooms and provide in‑room orientation.
