Bartender – Beverage Service (Full-time) – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverage orders according to approved recipes, cocktail preparation methods, presentation standards, and service procedures.
- Maintain strong knowledge of bar products: spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, mocktails, mixers, garnishes, and premium beverage offerings.
- Provide personalized, friendly, and efficient service while identifying upselling opportunities.
- Prepare mise en place, garnishes, bar tools, glassware, and service items before and during operations.
- Complete assigned side duties to keep the bar fully stocked, organized, and ready for service.
- Maintain the bar counter, shelves, equipment, storage areas, and surrounding workspaces in a clean and professional condition.
- Follow opening and closing procedures to support smooth handover and secure outlet operations.
- Monitor beverage stock levels and help reduce spoilage, wastage, breakage, and unnecessary consumption.
- Ensure premium liquors are displayed properly on shelves with agreed quantities and presentation standards maintained.
- Handle guest enquiries courteously and build positive relationships through attentive service and product guidance.
- Perform cashiering functions accurately in line with outlet cashiering procedures, POS standards, and cash handling controls.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory checks for operating equipment, beverages, supplies, and bar materials.
- Coach and train new recruits through on-the-job guidance, practical demonstrations, and service standard reinforcement.
- Assist in improving employee skills, work efficiency, product confidence, and bar service discipline.
- Follow HACCP requirements, hygiene standards, safety procedures, and responsible beverage service practices.
- Report guest complaints, stock concerns, equipment issues, or service problems to the supervisor for proper follow‑up.
- Maintain professional grooming, punctuality, teamwork, and a positive attitude during all shifts.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks assigned by the outlet supervisor, assistant manager, or food and beverage leadership team.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, food and beverage service, hotel management, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1–2 years bartending experience in a 4-5 star hotel, luxury resort, fine dining restaurant, or premium bar environment.
- Full compliance with HACCP standards and relevant food safety certification requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktail recipes, bar preparation methods, and beverage presentation.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, cash handling procedures, billing processes, and outlet cashiering standards.
- Ability to prepare drinks accurately under pressure while maintaining quality, speed, cleanliness, and guest focus.
- Strong guest communication skills and confidence to recommend beverages and support upselling.
- Good awareness of stock control, inventory checks, bar setup, wastage reduction, and premium product display.
- Ability to train or guide new team members in basic bar duties, service flow, and product handling.
- Well‑groomed, reliable, and comfortable working in a multicultural hotel environment with high service expectations.
