Job summary

Terra Solis Dubai is seeking a Beverage/Bar Attendant to deliver courteous, professional service in a five- or four-star hotel setting. You will prepare and serve beverages, understand the menu, upsell, and maintain cleanliness across service areas.

You will foster guest rapport, monitor alcohol service, perform opening/closing procedures, manage bar stocks, and participate in training and meetings. UAE/GCC market experience is preferred, with a minimum of two years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in a similar position in a five- or four-star hotel.
• UAE/GCC local market experience.
• Strong beverage knowledge and ability to up-sell.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverage orders with courteous, professional service.
• Understands all menu beverages and can recommend pairings and upsell.
• Follows correct sequence of service per SOP.
• Checks tables and trays for cleanliness and correct settings.
• Handles guest enquiries politely and reports issues to supervisor.
• Establishes rapport with guests and maintains relationships.
• Monitors guest intoxication and reports to Head Bartender.
• Performs opening and closing procedures.
• Maintains bar stocks and coordinates ordering.
• Rotates within sub-departments and adheres to HACCP safety standards.
• Punctual, with proper uniform and personal hygiene.
• Participates in training and weekly department meetings.

Job Description

• Prepares and serves beverage orders and provides a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service always, following the Standards of Performance.
• Understands all beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend beverage combinations and up-sell alternatives.
• Follows correct sequence of service outlined in the Standard Operating Manual.
• Checks all tables & trays to ensure maximum cleanliness and standard settings.
• Handles guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and reports guest complaints or problems to Head Bartender/Beverage Manager if no immediate solution can be founded and to assure follow up with guests.
• Establishes a rapport with guests, maintaining good customer relationship.
• Determine when a customer seated at the bar has had too much alcohol and report it to the Head Bartender or Beverage manager to take correct actions.
• Performs opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned.
• Maintain bar stocks and supplies and update the manager for ordering purposes.
• Adapts to rotate within the different sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other Department of the entity as assigned.
• Ensures that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the department in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures.
• Reports for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform.
• Always maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Projects always a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
• To participate in all relevant training offered by the company.
• Participate in weekly department meetings and raise relevant points for action.
