Job summary

Z club in Dubai is seeking an experienced bartender to prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and other beverages to a fast-paced nightlife crowd. You will maintain knowledge of the beverage menu, upsell premium options, and ensure accurate orders through the POS system.

You will work closely with barbacks, servers and management, uphold safety and hygiene standards, follow UAE regulations, and contribute to guest satisfaction through attentive, professional service.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience, preferably in nightlife venues.
• Strong cocktail knowledge and beverage preparation skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Strong sales and upselling ability.
• Professional appearance and grooming.
• Ability to work late nights and weekends.
• Good spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Dubai/UAE hospitality experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, soft drinks and other beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Provide fast and attentive service while maintaining a welcoming and professional attitude toward guests.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the nightclub's beverage menu, premium spirits, cocktails, mixers and promotions.
• Recommend drinks and upsell premium beverages, bottles and other products where appropriate.
• Accurately process orders through the POS system and follow all cash/card handling procedures.
• Ensure correct portioning and pouring standards to minimize wastage and maintain beverage cost controls.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar equipment, glassware and service areas throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures including bar setup, stock counts, replenishment and cleaning.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, breakages, wastage or discrepancies to the Bar Manager.
• Follow FIFO and other stock-rotation procedures.
• Work closely with barbacks, servers, VIP service staff, cashiers, security and management to ensure smooth nightclub operations.
• Maintain professional behaviour when dealing with VIP guests and high-spend customers.
• Follow responsible alcohol service requirements and all applicable UAE Dubai regulations and venue policies.
• Report intoxicated, aggressive, suspicious or problematic guests to the appropriate manager or security team.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety and company operating procedures.
• Participate in staff training briefings, promotional events and special nightclub events as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous bartending experience, preferably within a nightclub, lounge, beach club, bar, or high-volume hospitality venue.
• Strong cocktail preparation and beverage knowledge.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Strong sales and upselling ability.
• Professional appearance and grooming.
• Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced nightlife environment.
• Ability to work late nights, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
• Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Previous Dubai/UAE hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential.
